Heather Coen has taken the road less traveled and it has made all the difference. Traveling the back roads of the United States, visiting islands, Europe and South America, she has contemplated the earth’s incredible beauty. It is her privilege to try and capture the majestic essence in her oil and pastel paintings. She has known since she was a small child this was her life's purpose. Juried into 20 national and international shows in the last 48 months, she has attained “Master Signature Circle” for Paint America, and has “Signature Membership” in the Pastel Society of Colorado and Plein Air Artists of Colorado. This was chosen by Senator Bennet of Colorado for his Washington DC office. The competition selected a few paintings from artists of Colorado. It hung there for two years. The pastel was also featured in Pastel Journal.
